Your Favorite Cat Stories
When I was younger my mother had a gray, black and white
cat, we called Tiger. Tiger was a very curious and playful cat.
My mother loved him. He was a great companion for her when
we went to school and she was home alone. We lived in New
York at this time and our apartment had a long hall way. Now
Tiger knew all my sisters and brothers and they all just fell in
love with Tiger. However, Tiger would not let one of my sisters,
Dorothy come into the house. My mother had to put Tiger in
her bedroom and close the door when she came over.
It was so funny.
If Tiger was not in the bedroom when Dorothy came over, he
would hide under the table in the hall and when Dorothy passed
by he would reach out and scratch her legs. My sister would go
running down the hall screaming“Moma, your cat is attacking
me! Stop him!” We laughed about it, but we could never
understand why he did this. My mother said it was because
Dorothy had a cat and when she came over Tiger smelled the
other cat on her. We still laugh about this whenever we get
together. I don’t have a picture of Tiger, but he looked a lot
like this cat.
